The KBRwyle software and IT Solutions Sector is looking for a Software Project Manager to lead a team of world class engineers supporting PMA-231 and E2-D ALE Systems.The position will be located in Wyle's Lexington Park office, but will require frequent face-to-face customer and team interaction in customer spaces (Patuxent River, MD).

The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following tasks:

+ Develop and obtain commitment on project plans and related artifacts (tasks, schedules, resource assignments)

+ Provide direction and oversight to project teams to design, develop, deploy, and sustain solutions that meet applicable business requirements

+ Oversee the day-to-day execution of projects, facilitate resolution of issues, and report status at regular intervals to stakeholders

+ Evaluate project management processes and metrics to track and measure project success (Manage all program/product delivery elements)

+ Develop and maintain effective methods of communication between project stakeholders

+ Control changes that occur to the project and its associated documentation; own the change management process

+ Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards

+ Help determine and validate project size, scope and required artifacts

+ Create, monitor and update the project's Communications Plan and Risk Management Plan

+ Oversee the technical aspects of the project throughout the SDLC Life Cycle

+ Identify opportunities for improvement

+ Conduct and design analytical studies, cost-benefit analyses and other research to support initiatives

+ Assist in briefing key leadership and coordinating with various stakeholders to gather data and information to inform the development tasks

+ Follow up with stakeholders to formulate and implement schedules and gather necessary documents and data

+ Participate with project working groups as required



A Master's degree and 6 years of professional experience or a Bachelor's degree and 8 years of professional experience are required (four (4) years of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree)

Clearance: Secret

Outstanding organizational, verbal and written communication skills

Prior experience managing software development efforts


Technical understanding and experience in handling data warehouse projects is preferred

Prior experience supporting Department of Defense customers is desired

Familiarity with DoD IT/IM/IA Policy and Guidance is desired

PMP certification is desired
