### Description
**Hydrasearch is looking for a Quality Inspector to join its team in Stevensville on Maryland's eastern shore. The **Quality Inspector **will be responsible for all phases of quality in an ISO 9001:2008 manufacturing company. This is a hands on role. Applicant should have 1-3 or more years of Quality experience. **
Hydrasearch is involved in the design, development, and manufacturing of fluid systems and components utilized in demanding military and commercial applications. Our products can be found on submarines, surface ships, helicopters, fixed wing aircraft, tanks, and ground equipment throughout the world. In this role you will review quality standards, tolerances, and engineering changes. Investigates and analyzes quality problems, recommends solutions and ensures corrections are made. ASQ certifications in CQA and CQI are required or you must be able to pass these certifications. This candidate needs to also have the knowledge of quality functions in an ISO registered manufacturing environment as well as experience working with military contract quality requirements.
**Responsibilities:**
* Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
* Approve in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
* Approve finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
* Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
* Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs.
* Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
* Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
* Accomplish quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
**Competencies****:**
* Experience with mechanical measurement equipment; height gauges, calipers, micrometers, optical comparator.
* Experience with engineering drawings and specifications.
* CMM experience a plus
* Be able to lift up to 25 pounds
