MTEQ is seeking a PCB Product Manager with extensive knowledge and strong communication skills to join our team of well qualified, diverse individuals at Kilmarnock, VA.





The PCB Product Manager is the operations leader for a business unit that specializes in high technology PCB's for military and commercial industries. The products produced on our PCA lines provide the highest value components for our integrated rapid prototyping and systems integration facilities and are critical to the overall growth and profitability of MTEQ's Rapid Prototyping and Production campus in Kilmarnock. The PCB Product Manager will oversee and direct all aspects of the PCB production process with the intent of achieving defined goals such as daily and monthly output schedules, quality levels, financial targets, etc. This position will be responsible to c oordinate and schedule production jobs, monitor safety, productivity, and efficiency, ensure workforce is properly trained, write annual performance reviews, and coach employees.
Key responsibilities include:

+ Provides first level Manufacturing management to SMT, Through Hole, and hand solder production employees.

+ Manage all PCB Job orders to corporate profitability requirements and present results to Senior Management on a regular basis

+ Play a key role in obtaining planned results and helping to maximize the long-term value delivered from the business.

+ Coordinate and schedule production jobs based on priorities, corporate revenue goals & minimum on-time delivery metrics.

+ Oversees equipment maintenance to ensure the department is achieving expected efficiency and productivity goals.

+ Facilitates root-cause analysis and corrective action as required for quality control issues.

+ Responsible for supporting activities in the area of cost containment, efficiency, productivity, waste minimization, inventory control, supporting focus on lean manufacturing principles and effectively coaching employees to perform.

+ Provide leadership, management and development of team members by providing guidance, feedback, support, and performance management.

+ Maintain ISO and AS9100 standards throughout the process

+ Responsible for monitoring the production process of job orders and adjusting the daily production schedule as necessary

+ Lead daily production meetings at the beginning of all shifts with leads and/or department supervisors to direct production activities and establish production priorities

+ Maintain a constant awareness of jobs being processed, factory issues and equipment malfunctions to quickly determine necessary alternatives to maintain production schedules and on-time delivery

+ Serve as link between quality, engineering, customer service, production control and manufacturing to provide feedback on potential bottleneck areas based upon work in progress

+ Allocate personnel, material and equipment resources need to meet production schedules





More specific responsibilities will include:

+ Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and effective customer relations.

+ Foster an operations environment that provides a safe and environmentally responsible facility.

+ Select, train, develop, and motivate employees to maximize individual potential, achieve operational effectiveness, and ensure ongoing organizational capability.

+ Maintain plant property and equipment in good condition to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and to ensure effective and economical operations.





The ideal candidate will possess the following experience:

+ Operations and/or plant management of PCB Assembly, preferably in a custom manufacturing environment.

+ Demonstrated experience of meeting commitments to customers and focusing on customer relationships to drive operations.

+ Excellent leadership & Team-building abilities with strong interpersonal & communication skills.

+ Prior experience responsible for manufacturing costs management and job cost analysis

+ Ability to work closely with Accounting & Supply Chain in extracting data from ERP & Financial Systems for Job Cost analysis

+ Demonstrate dependability, flexibility, decision - making skills and ability to work under minimal supervision.

+ Strong knowledge of quality systems, tools, and procedures (ISO9001, AS9100, etc.) and related customer quality standards and requirements.

+ Three to five years direct PCB manufacturing supervision experience

+ Proven ability to manage multiple projects through prioritization and time management.

+ Experience with scheduling on the production floor and managing resources

+ Ability to follow detailed technical instructions

+ Knowledge of IPC 610 & J-Standard 001 standards

+ Strong fluency with Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, MS Projects & Power-point

+ Ability to stand/walk throughout entire shift







Education:


An undergraduate degree in business, operations, or engineering is desired. Strong relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.





SECURITY CLEARANCE:


Ability to obtain Security clearance REQUIRED. Active Security Clearance a plus.
